We mainly transport dogs and cats but can transport other small animals upon request.
We offer 2 options for domestic travel- road transport and flights. Our van is air conditioned which is able to be monitored & controlled by the driver. There is a clear partition between the cabin & the pet area so the driver can see how the pets are travelling at all times. Regular comfort stops are offered to allow pets to toilet and stretch their legs. Our drivers will use these stops to send updates to owners along the way.
We also have the ability to organise your pets trip via domestic flights at most major and regional airports if this is a more suitable option. In some instances we may even be able to offer a combination of both where we pick up your pet & lodge at the airport for you or vice versa. This option is particularly handy for our rural clients who live far away from an airport and their pet is heading a long distance away where air travel is recommended, such as travelling to WA.
If you’d like more information on deciding if road or air transport is better, head to our travel advice page where we break down key points for each option
At this stage we currently only offer domestic travel however we can certainly recommend companies we have personally worked with who offer international services such as importation and exportation of animals.
For our road transport option, comfort stops are done every 2 hours. This ensures that pets have adequate opportunities to relieve themselves as well as stretch their legs & have water. If your pet does happen to soil the crate in between stops, our driver will clean the crate prior to commencing the next part of their trip. All crates are lined with wee pads underneath absorbent vet bedding which wicks away moisture, for added comfort.
To minimise the likelihood of soiling during a domestic flight, it’s highly recommended to stop feeding your pet at least 8 hours before the trip. If your pet does happen to soil the bedding before the flight takes off, the airline will reject boarding until the crate is cleaned. If this happens, the airline will contact us to advise that a crate must be cleaned. If the animal was lodged by the owner/breeder, they will be required to return and clean the crate or alternatively a member of our team will do this if originally lodged by us. If your pet misses their flight, we will re-lodge the pet for the next available flight with fees and charges imposed.
No, we do not recommend or allow sedation for pets during transport, as it can be dangerous. Pets that are under sedation can become dehydrated, disoriented, and may experience travel sickness. For flights, if airline staff believe your pet has been sedated, they will reject boarding.
Our road transport service operates across NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD & SA with TAS being upon request. Whilst we don’t service WA or NT by road at this stage, we are more than happy to facilitate a journey by using one of our trusted industry contacts and linking up with them. Where suitable, we will offer flights to/from WA & NT for a faster travel option.
You are more than welcome to send a small bag of items or paperwork with your pet provided it is labelled with the pets name & a name & number of the receiving person. Due to limited space, we do ask that you only send a bag around the size of a shopping bag otherwise our driver may have to reject taking the items. Any food you wish us to feed the pet will also need to be labelled appropriately.
Yes, we offer door to door wherever possible, especially for our rural clients. We’re committed to offering a stress free experience for both pets and owners and this is just one way we can do this.
The day before pick up/drop off, you will be contacted with an approximate time. On the day, we endeavor to keep everyone updated as much as possible & should that initial time deviate, we will let you know with plenty of notice. We have the added advantage of being owner operated so should anything happen to cause the ETA to change, you will hear it direct from us (no back & forth messages between an office & drivers, yay!)
All pets between 8-12 weeks or over the age of 12 years will require a “fit to fly” veterinary certificate issued within 14 days of travel. You will also receive an airway bill at time of booking which is to be produced at time of lodgement & collection.
For Tasmania: Tasmania is the only Australian state to be provisionally free of hydatid disease & as such, there are special requirements that you must meet before you can bring your dog into the state. This involves treating for hydatid tapeworm with a wormer containing praziquantel within 14 days of entry to Tasmania accompanied by an official letter from your vet stating this or a statutory declaration filled out by yourself. There are some exemptions to this such as puppies under the age of 12 weeks so we do suggest heading to the Tasmania Biosecurity website

Pets typically travel in the cargo compartment of the plane. This compartment is maintained at a temperature of approximately 18-20 degrees Celsius, regulated by the captain of the flight. Similar to the passenger cabin, the pet compartment is pressurised and dimly lit.
Most airports stipulate pets must be lodged at the airport 90-120 minutes before departure. The specific time and airport address will be listed on your booking confirmation email.
We can tape paperwork to the crate if you like but we advise you to mail it to avoid it getting wet or becoming detached from the crate in transit.
For your pet’s safety no items are allowed in the crate other than a blanket or towel but please keep in mind that if your pet soils their crate during any part of the travel these items may be removed and disposed of.
We advise to not feed your pet within 6-8 hours of departure. This is to reduce any nausea your pet may experience but also to reduce the chance of your pet relieving themselves in their crate during transit. Food will not be available during the flight however they will have access to water the entire flight.
When the plane lands your pet can take approximately 30 minutes to be unloaded, checked and then be ready at your airlines’ cargo office at the airport (this information will be listed in your travel information booking email we send). When collecting, please remember to bring a form of photo identification as well as the airway bill number as staff will ask you before releasing your pet.
